Accessibility Statement
Islamorada Dive Center is committed to ensuring our website is accessible to all visitors, including those with disabilities. We believe everyone deserves a clear, usable experience when exploring our trips, courses, and dive sites — and we're actively working to meet that standard.
Our Commitment
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for web accessibility. Our website has been built with accessibility in mind, including:
- Sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
- Descriptive alt text on images
- Keyboard-navigable menus and interactive elements
- Legible font sizes and clear typographic hierarchy
- Logical page structure using semantic HTML headings
Known Limitations
While we strive for full accessibility, some areas of our site may not yet meet every guideline. We are actively working to identify and address these gaps. Known areas we are improving include:
- Third-party booking functionality provided by FareHarbor, which operates under its own accessibility standards
- Embedded video content, which may not include captions in all cases
Third-Party Content
Some features on our site — including online booking and embedded maps — are provided by third-party platforms. We cannot fully control the accessibility of these tools, but we encourage those providers to meet the same standards we hold ourselves to.
If a third-party tool is creating a barrier for you, please contact us directly and we will do our best to assist you in completing your booking or getting the information you need.
