Emergency First Responder (EFR)
CPR, AED use, first aid, and more — skills that apply in and out of the water. IDC's EFR course satisfies the Rescue Diver prerequisite and can be completed alongside it in a single visit.
About this Course
EFR - CPR
The Emergency First Response course teaches the life-saving skills that apply anywhere — not just underwater. CPR for adults, children, and infants, AED use, first aid, and emergency oxygen administration, all delivered through one of the most widely recognized CPR and first aid training programs in the world.
Pairing With the Rescue Diver Course
If you're working toward your Rescue Diver certification, the EFR course can be completed alongside it during the same visit. Add EFR to your Rescue Diver enrollment for $150. An Emergency Oxygen Provider add-on is also available for an additional $99 — covering the administration of emergency oxygen, a skill specific to dive accident management.
After purchase, we'll send a confirmation email with instructions for scheduling your course.
How the Course Works
The course runs in a single day and combines eLearning with classroom instruction at IDC. No prior medical training or dive certification is required. Anyone 10 or older can enroll.
Upon completion, you'll hold a current Emergency First Response certification — which also satisfies the first aid and CPR prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course.
