About this Charter

The Florida Keys is one of the premier spearfishing destinations in the United States — and IDC has been putting experienced divers on the best spots for years. If you've already got your Open Water cert and some bottom time under your belt, this is the charter for you.

Your spear guide will take you to the ledges, overhangs, and reef structure where the fish hold. They know which spots are producing, which species are in season, and how to position the group for the best shot opportunities. Hogfish, grouper, snapper, lionfish, and more — the Florida Keys reef is well-stocked year-round.

After the dives, IDC cleans your catch. Take it home or walk it to one of Islamorada's local restaurants — most are happy to cook what you bring in fresh off the boat.

Before You Book

New to spearfishing or just getting started? Our Underwater Hunter Course is the right first step — two guided training dives covering gear, technique, regulations, and sustainability before you join a regular spearfishing charter. Experienced spear-os can book this charter directly.

A valid Florida saltwater fishing license is required — available online at myfwc.com before your trip. All spearfishing must comply with FWC regulations and Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary zone restrictions. IDC guides operate sustainably and selectively — no taking undersized fish, no shooting in no-take zones.

Equipment

Spearfishing gun and stringer are not included — bring your own or ask us about rental availability at the IDC shop at Three Waters Marina. Scuba gear rental also available if needed. All other equipment is handled by your guide on the day.
