About this Charter

IDC's morning charter runs two formats depending on the day of the week.

Reef Charter — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday Dives take place on Islamorada's barrier reef at depths of 40 to 100 feet. Open Water certification is required. Site selection is made by the captain on the morning of your trip based on current and sea conditions.

Wreck Charter — Thursday, Sunday Dives take place on the Eagle wreck at depths of 80 to 115 feet. The Eagle is a 269-foot freighter intentionally sunk in 1985 and split in two by Hurricane Georges in 1998. Advanced Open Water certification is required. This is IDC's flagship wreck dive and one of the most well-known dive sites in the Florida Keys.

Both formats run two tanks, two dive locations, and approximately four hours on the water. All charters depart from Three Waters Marina.

Tanks, weights, and weight belt are included. Full gear rental is available for $40. Wetsuit rental is available for $20. A dive guide is optional and available upon request.

Minimum age is 12. All divers must hold a valid certification card. Not yet Advanced certified? Ask us about completing your Advanced Open Water course before your trip.
